I have perused DA for quite a few years now and finally decided to join-thus allowing me to interact with y'all and save faves and whatnot. I'm a fan of many fandoms including:
-Star Trek: TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY (I do also enjoy TAS but wouldn't say I'm such a fan of it like the other series)-Yes, I call myself a trekkie! (and yes I mean trekkie, not trekker cause I'm not a snob).
-Stargate (all series)
-Supernatural
-Lost
-Andromeda

I also enjoy other sci-fi like the Outer Limits and Twilight Zone (both old and new series). As well the 3 original Star Wars films are near and dear to my heart (my dad quotes them regularly!). Alien and Aliens are also fave movies. I'm super excited for the sequel to Prometheus!

Hubby and I both enjoy listening to old radio shows as well. They are pretty great! I am visually impaired and sometimes my vision is worse than other times and so its a great alternative form of entertainment! AND-many are available for free to listen to because they are so old! Some of my faves are:
-Gunsmoke (western-the sound effects in this series are amazing-you really feel like you are there!)
-Johnny Dollar (detective)
-Dragnet (detective)
-Box 13 (detective/adventure)
-X minus 1 (sci-fi)
-Escape! (action/adventure)
-Broadway is my Beat (detective with a surly/snarky attitude)
-Richard Diamond (also a surly detective)
-The Shadow (I'm not certain what to call this one, mystery?)
-Suspense (action/adventure/mystery)
-Dimension X (sci-fi)

I made my avatar and that's about as artistic with visual media as I can get (I made that before my visual impairment too). I do have some skill in writing fanfic (romance....alot of PWP actually or just mild plot). However now that I'm visually impaired and on pain meds progress is slow. I do have MANY ideas for many characters though so someday I will get through them all! My fantasy men include-

-An OC Cardassian that I have in the works
-Garak
-Quark (I have an ear fetish if this needs explaining...)
-Dr Bashir
-Weyoun
-The Jem'Hadar (thinking of my own OC for this race)

Stargate:
-Nicolas Rush (SGU)
-The Wraith (SGA-how does one pick when they are all so sexy?)
